View Full Version : Course 3 Seminars

Anyone tried the on-line seminar with Ramanathan? Interesting concept; would probably help keep me on track better than I would myself. But then again, it's kinda nice to get out of town on the company's tip.
And what are your thoughts on other seminars?

I took the on-line course on my first sitting. I didn't pass the exam but following along with him certainly helped me get through all the material more than once. I had a strong base to start from when I started studying again. His questions are hard too and more like exam questions than other material I have seen. I know he also has just the review which is also good because you get the exams and questions.

For May 2001, I tried his online seminar and did not like it. I found that his methods for learning life contig. were way too complicated (Batten's way is much more understandable and efficient). I also found that if you got behind even a little - it was almost impossible to catch up. Basically his seminar goes through his study manual (ASM I think?) and he gives you quizzes and some extra notes. If I had a choice, I would definitely choose a live review seminar and just go through the study manuals on your own.
