View Full Version : Ampersand codes and html tags
In the new version of phpBB, there is a bug, see here: http://www.phpbb.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=69980&highlight=html+entities+tags
This means that & codes with alphanumeric descriptors will be parsed into plain ampersands.
BUT after some experimentation, it seems that phpBB 2.0.4 DOES allow & codes with the HEX descriptors to live side-by side with HTML tags.
See below.

Sorry, you've been posting a lot on the new upgrade and reading the phpbb forums. I had this mental image of myself when I used to explain what was wrong to the IT support people. They were not happy with users knowing anything (even if I actually did know more about it than they did).
It was funny inside my head. Or maybe I'm just going squirrely.

Wll I did enjoy Cosmos and Nova :D
OMG, my bones are creaking just reading this thread. It's worse than when Pillow asked about a song in a commercial on TV. The song was from the 70's, but she had no idea that it wasn't specially made just for the commercial. I feel so ooooooold! :(
