View Full Version : Invalid_session
Today, when I am trying to post, more often than not I'll getan invalid_session error, and have to go back and restart the posting process.
Aren't upgrades annoying at times? :)

Still? Don't we have this cleaned up?
(In other great news, the latest upgrade is now permanent. There's no going back now. heh.)

I'm getting a lot of Invalid Session errors, but I don't know if the problem is with the forum software or my company's lame-a$$ firewall.

The old book, How To Please Your Woman Everytime should take care of that.

That one may be too general. How to Please Your Invalid Every Time goes into a lot more detail.

Still? That's not the firewall, that's the forum software - but I thought we had this cleaned up. Anyone else still getting this?

Got it last night when I was at home using AOL's stupid browser, but when I switched to using IE it didn't seem to do it anymore.

Glenn, I don't know if it means anything to you, but I still get invalid session errors when trying to post using the AOL browser. No biggie, I just switched to IE and problem solved, but thought you'd like to know.

Thanks. I don't believe it's the browser. I'll keep an eye on it.
We'll hopefully be moving everything, server, forum and all, within the next two months. I'm negotiating with a fibre optic company to get my own feed. I have a friend in Waterloo who would lease me space for servers but the fibre company had to dig up the street to get the line in. $'s. I've got a local insurance broker happy to lease me space but I'm reluctant to piggy back space on a company I don't have links to. They wanted $25k to bring the line into the house. There's a company within view of my house that I could hook into which would also give me high speed wireless in the home office, but same issues with not having links to the company. Tomorrow I'm going to visit a couple potential spots downtown that I may be able to rent a bit of space from. Long story short, trying to find a stable spot that I can afford that also has access to the local fibre optic lines is quite a task. That's why I've been talking about moving servers for quite a while but haven't quite got there. We're closing in though.
And if it's not too expensive, I'll pipe an antennae up top and give the locals free high speed wireless internet access. Since I'm looking at dealing with a company that's one up from most ISP's, I don't have any restrictions on reselling/redistributing services :).
No point behind my ramblings. I just happened to get on the subject.
I still get those Invalid_Sessions every now and then, especially if I've opened another window mid-post.
Ahhh ... so my Avi virus is still working. Gooooood. BWA-HA-HA-HA-HA!!!
Methinks one polyocular fuschia invertebrate is getting a tad insecure.
Hmmmm
Why would that be???

Thank you. I tried switching from AOL to IE and that seemed to work for me.

Ahh AOL, the armpit of internet browsing. Think I should trademark the phrase just in case AOL tries to steal it?
