this is just killing me

Posted 09-22-2008 at 01:41 PM by Former Actuarial

i was hurting really bad last weekend and beginning of the week. i slept as much as i possibly could to avoid the pain, b/c my pain killers dont seem to be doing the job. i missed 1.5 days of work.

sure enough, sat night it comes on again, and i was absolutely miserable yesterday when i was awake. again, i tried to sleep as much as possible. i felt better when i woke up this morning...very dull pain...but as the morning wore on, the pain increased and i'm here now feeling naseous, slight bit of visual issues...not the normal blotchiness...and in extreme pain in the head and some in the ears, but i can't go home.

going on std has been touched upon. i just dont know if that is a solution. these come up here and there and are unpredictable.

it is possible that it may in part be related to my hormones...the female kind. last weekend/early week was pre-. this weekend was during. now i'm post. we shall see how long this lasts. if it is related..well...i dont know what a doctor can do for me. lol maybe a hysterectomy to avoid the cycle all together?!?!

too lazy to switch accounts so i'll just post here

had a doc appt with the neurologist. we're on maintenance at this point. i have the topamax Rx to take daily, and he gave me some relapax to take when i really need it...i'll call him when i have used one or two to determine if it works for me and that i should get a prescrip...reason being that my insurance doesn't cover the drug and it ain't cheap.

the good news is that even tho i'm freakin stressed with so much right now, i dont have a headache. i am keeping better track of when i get them, how long they last, etc etc. and i really do think it's related to my female hormones. bad news tho is that i dont know what can be done to fix things. anywho, we shall see as time goes on.
