Book Lovers = Movie Haters

Posted 12-05-2008 at 03:08 PM by stanley

I love the fact that I dont read a lot of novels because I enjoy a lot of their movie adaptatons. And I hate the fact that "book people" always compare the book to its movie version up to the littlest detail. I hate hearing the lines, "the book is so much better than the movie" or "they cut of the part where ...." or "that is not how I imagined it" and other similar lines.

My co-workers watched twilight a week ago. And since some of them are "book readers", I heard the same comments again and again. I just went our on a date and watched twilight a while ago, and I actually enjoyed it. But then again, I heard other people reciting the same lines . It annoys me, especially if they only read the book because they knew that the movie is coming out. Some do not even knew the novel before it was made into a high budget movie.

if you're a book reader and do not want to spoil the story you just read, then dont watch its movie adaptation. Dont recite the lines above, no one want to hear it. And dont recite it to simply show-off. The good thing about going to the movies is not having to read it. So to spoilers out there, stick to books and dont suck the enjoyment other moviegoers.
