The First Batch of Financial Data Analysts Certified

On November 16, 2016, the first batch of Financial Data Analysts (FDA) Elementary-level was certified by China Association of Actuaries (CAA). 45 candidates gained the FDA Elementary Level certificates.

The certificate-awarding ceremony was held during the 3rd Internet Big Data and Actuarial Innovation Forum in Beijing. The forum was organised by the CAA.

In the coming months, the CAA is planning to promote the training and examinations of the FDA intermediate-level.

China Association of Actuaries Announced the New Credential FDA

On July 29th, 2016, China Association of Actuaries (CAA) announced that it will introduce a new credential named the Financial Data Analyst (FDA) in order to meet the needs of big data analysis in the financial sector.

The new credential has three levels: elementary, intermediate and advanced.

China Chief Actuaries Forum 2016 Held in Shenzhen

On November 24, 2016, China Chief Actuaries Forum was held in Shenzhen, Guangdong Province. The theme of the forum this year was "Focusing on the Innovation of Products, Promoting the Reform of Supply-side".

China Chief Actuaries Forum was organised by China Association of Actuaries (CAA) annually and this was the third forum since 2014. This year the forum was co-organised and sponsored by China Re Life, a subsidiary of China Reinsurance Group.

The 17th China Actuarial Annucal Conference was held in Shanghai on September 23-24, 2016. The theme of the conferene was "Serving the Reform of the Supply-side, Promoting the Value of the Profession". The chairman of China Insurance Regulatory Commission (CIRC), Mr. CHEN Wenhui, the deputy mayor of Shanghai municipal government, Mr. ZHOU Bo, were present and gave speeches at the conference.

The 14th China Actuarial Annual Conference organized by China Association of Actuaries(CAA) was held in Changsha, Hunan Province on September 10-11. The theme of the annual conference is "Seeking the new path for the development of the actuarial profession"

The international actuarial organizations such as the IAA, IFoA(UK), CAS(US), SOA(US), IAAust(Australia), IOAJ(Japan) etc sent delegates to attend the conference.
