FM Exam Study Day 3

Posted 07-05-2013 at 07:39 PM by carolinacoast

Solving these problems is taking me forever and I know I am probably taking too much time on them, but I think it is necessary to get the basic concepts down first. Some of the things that I'm having trouble with the most is actually just simply solving quadratic equations that involve decimals and imaginary numbers (I know that is so seventh grade!) But, I need to brush up on my skills and just keep learning how to set up the problems and I should be straight.

Time Spent: 1 hr, 55 minutes
Study Manual: up to page 23

you should not run into any imaginary numbers in any actuary prelim as far as I know. Also, make sure you are good with your calculators memory storage. Use your TI30XS whenever you can and the BA 2 plus when you need to use the financial functions.
