I was quite apprehensive of the reserves material but seem to be enjoying it as I navigate the section. Understanding reserves requires a thorough understanding of insurance, annuities & premiums. Hope to finish life contigencies material by 3/7.

4 months to MLC exam day. Add a few days more for MFE sitting. Things are heating up. Made a daily plan yesterday. Plan to follow religously.

Have not been able to put in more than one hour of study since the 3rd. Need to change that. Work issues are sidetracking me. I will have to refocus so that i finish the Insurance section from the ASM manual by Sunday 1/9. Also, need to divide time more efficiently between MFE & MLC.

I am enjoying my MFE studies much more than MLC. I can relate to the material a little more since I have seen some of it in my CFA exam studies. I am using the TIA seminar. I usually watch the lectures a couple of times and then work every problem that is assigned for the section. I plan to complete the MFE syllabus using TIA and then supplement practice with 'actuarial brew' and/or ASM. Not sure how much time will remain at the end.
