The 1st edition - Third Printing of the manual has over 1800 pages and over 1600 end-of-lesson exercises, including over 780 original and 1040 old exam questions, plus over 350 examples and 90 in-lesson exercises. In addition to these exercises, there are thirteen practice exams, all having 20 multiple choice and 6-7 written answer questions, just like the real exam.

Is there an explanation of differences in this manual and the 15th version of the MLC manual?

LTAM has some new material and has dropped some MLC material, so I wouldn't recommend using an MLC manual unless you plan to use the two study notes to fill in the gap.

The 3rd printing has minor additions to the 2nd printing, such as solutions to the Fall 2018 exam and a little more on how to work out Markov chain questions with the Sickness-Death model or otherwise, as well as incorporating errata.
