The Australian baseball league expanded from 6 to 8 teams this year.

One team is based in Auckland, New Zealand. The other is entirely composed of Korean players. Weird, but growth is good.

IIRC there was a change in qualification rules for national merit scholarships or something similar within the last 10 years or so that incented Michigan students to prioritize the SAT over the ACT....
