The only shot I would say would be to ask SOA directly, doesn't hurt to ask if it means a lot to make it to that one. I would guess they would say no b/c it doesn't give them a ton of turnaround...

Yeah, that's just b.s. in my opinion. I agree that the multiple choice is memorization, but the written answer by design twists the question in a way that memorization will not be enough to pass.

I passed a few sittings ago with a 7 and a self-score of ~62. So for that to be a 7, that would imply a pass mark of between 53-56 +/- whatever error margin you want to give me for self-scoring.

Maybe, but also LTAM/MLC under written format is significantly harder than other preliminaries so I wouldn't say its fair to conclude that you'd have a different experience had you stuck with...

I'm very happy to see that we only have 6 WA questions for our exam. I'd rather 6 larger questions than 7 or 8 moderately thinner ones, half of what I find so time consuming about the written answer...
