Should I sit for DPA and speciality or just sit for DPA?

Are the materials in speciality truly reflective of a 2 hour exam (I.e comparable to FVA) or no?

Wouldnít that have been reflected already? I thought they grade both together first, and if you passed them together then youíll get a pass for both. If not, they grade separately.

I honestly donít get it. Now I canít trust my confidence after an exam. DPA felt my best exam performance and I failed it while FVA felt like my worst exam performance and I passed it.

Look at slide 12 of the CAS presentation I referenced. They declare VaR as a risk metric only. I'm not saying they're the source of truth though.

certificate months we * by 12 to get annualize but for member months we don't. WHY?

For example:

Let's say the annual cost = 3480
and we have 10 members

PMPY = 3480 / 10 = 348
PMPM = 348/12 = 29

Another way to state this is 10 * 12 = 120 member months
