Possibly also because the list is coming out Oct 2nd and not Sep 25th? It would give them an additional 7 days to update transcripts and applications etc.

If you look at the historical lag, the IA tends to get graded faster than the FA. Must be the SOA strategy, get everyone bottlenecked at the FA, like how the early prelims get offered 4 times a year...

Hopefully. 8/10 submission here. They just did 3 weeks in 2 days. If they repeat this, my paper gets graded tomorrow. If they stop, the lag can grow to 80+ days again and my paper doesn't get graded...

Even with this grading party, the lag is still at 53 days at the moment. Hope they get some more in and get it down to the 40's at least.

My guess is they read through the whole paper before deciding to pass or fail. Some people get "most questions need improvement." Also, it says "Overall your paper does not meet minimum...

What kind of firms use recruiters?

Would it be mom/pop shops with 1 or 2 actuaries? It seems like large employers would be well known and would have no shortage of applicants.
