Damn, I gave up on this exam and didnt study really very hard at all and just expected failure.

It was easier than I expected and had I just gone hard for 2 weeks I could've passed I think.

Exactly. I'm not looking to count people who aren't actuaries but want to be one.

It's like saying the CEO unemployment rate is 99% because so many people would want to be a CEO.

Thanks for helping us get to over 100 responses everyone. Looks like fortunately so far COVID has not caused actuarial layoffs, and this is actually the lowest AO unemployment rate yet.

No pension, my company has a flat dollar amount of coverage they give to everyone, you can buy up if you arent in a risk class. otherwise you cant buy any more at all

the higher the debt goes the lower we need rates to be in order to finance it. More debt = lower rates (even negative?) = higher equities
