Last week - DMV license renewal. I don't mind mail, I like sending postcards, birthday cards, etc. I agree with you on things like flyers, credit card offers though. Wish you could opt out of those.

I've worked in 2 consulting firms. WFH was not really encouraged, at least below manager level. We're only allowed if there's a reason (delivery, not feeling well, etc).

Same here. It would be great to be paid more (I'm on the low end of the DWS scale) but there aren't that many actuarial opportunities where I am. OH earns well, but it's still not enough us...

I didn't truly understand probability till university, when we started from first principles. I found it pretty hard at school, particularly figuring out when I should multiply probabilities vs add.

OP, go for it, it'll be a great experience. I was in a similar situation, but still managed to find a job afterwards. Only difference was that I had finished my exams at that point.
