Default Attn: Please Stop Citing Amnesty Int'l

Due to the following, please stop citing Amnesty International as an unbiased source:

Quote:
Prime Minister John Howard finds himself alongside Zimbabwean president Robert Mugabe in an Amnesty International report which says they are among short-sighted fear-mongers dividing the world.

The human rights pressure group has accused Mr Howard of portraying asylum-seekers as a threat to national security.

The report also criticises Australia’s role in the war on terror and its treatment of female victims of violence.

Amnesty secretary-general Irene Khan says the fear generated by leaders such as Mr Howard “thrives on myopic and cowardly leadership.”

Ms Khan included Mr Howard with Mr Mugabe, US President George Bush and Sudan’s President Omar Al-Bashir in the same scathing paragraph in her foreword to the group’s annual report published today.
Thanks,

The Management

AI. Often the media. Actually, I think AI and the media have an agreement to each pretend that the other is unbiased.

Okay, don't ever cite a think tank, then.

I'll cite them for what they are, like "libertarian think tank" or "Stalinist think tank".

I see, so "Amnesty International" doesn't tell you enough?
Does that mean that "PETA" can't be cited either?

It's when you take all your numerical data, line them up sequentially, and then take the one in the middle.

What if there is an even number of samples?

I believe that in this context, the word is plural. Thus, you have to line up your data multiple times. Picking the same datum for the "middle" in these multiple occurances is not required for an even number of points. If you are a member of the other 'media' it is probably not required for an odd number of points either. In that case, the point-of-view of your article is more important than the point you pick.
