Progress report

The content of the ILA track Regulation and Taxation Module was finalized this week. As chair of the committee that put together the module, I must thank the great team that did all the work over many months. The team included current and former regulators, tax experts, an academic. We enlisted first-class reviewers, who made substantial improvements to the first draft. At this point, we are very proud of what we have produced -- and so we have stopped editing!

Now the module content is in the hands of the SOA staff and the contractor who builds the web interface. That work should progress nicely (as it has on all previous modules), so the Regulation and Taxation Module is expected to be on time. Candidates should find completing the module to be a worthwhile and rewarding experience.
