Default PD approvals in the 10/31 cycle

How many pd submissions do we guess in the SOA's September and October submissions?

My guess is about 50 - 100 will be turned in during these months.

How this will make a difference I do not know, more curiosity of how many the SOA will need to process and timing considerations for hearing back from the SOA on approval, since now the timing appears to be closer to 8 weeks.

I'm thinking there's going to be a lot more, probably several hundred. It sounds like there are a lot of people who will be using sessions from the Annual Meeting. More than likely this will lengthen the response time from the SOA.

wow,

I never thought it would be that many,

but I guess it is the final deadline.

I agree at this point that it will at least be 100 candidates submitting during September and October. I forgot about the SOA meeting mid-October

There are probably many out there with conversion credits that were dismissing PD until it converted to an FSA exam.

Like me! I did everything possible to NOT take DP. I filed my PD September 6th, and went to three different seminars (Incl the Annual meeting), just to finish. My boss didn't like it as I was gone a lot this past month, but well worth the time and cost.

I know of two people submitting this week, myself included. Let's just start counting

When you submit your executed PD plan, are you expecting any confirmation from the SOA?. I mean confirmation just to say they received it. I submitted mine electronically and via courier a couple of weeks ago.
My concern is the deadline passes and for some weird reasons the SOA did not get my Plan.

Anyone else has that concern?

A couple of people I know who submitted their plans earlier did not receive any kind of confirmation from SOA. They had to call them or e-mail them for it. I submitted my executed plan on Tuesday and then e-mailed the SOA on Thursday for confirmation and they responded a few hours after my e-mail. I would suggest you do something similar.

I agree. Just email them and ask for confirmation. They are pretty good about emailing back within a few hours.

I sent mine UPS, and then confirmed receipt via package tracking. I even printed out the tracking detail showing when it arrived and who signed for it. If they ever say they didn't get it, well, I've now got proof otherwise.
