Or because people are on vacation. Or because people like to wait til the last day to submit something. Or because there's not much to object to in the broad statements, and SOA members will have a stronger opinion on the tactics.

Or because we get so many emails from the SOA that most of them are ignored and lots of people don't even know it's there (this last one wouldn't surprise me in the least. The new CPE requirements from the Academy were a revelation to quite a few people....who are Academy members. Forget about the non-Academy members who unexpectedly found themselves covered by these requirements.)

Definitely a problem. My biggest source of unread email is from the SOA. "Oh, another seminar not in any way related to my practice area." Actually, I probably get more email about cars with their lights on in the parking lots or lost jewelery.

I would have put the last bit in red, except I don't know how to.

Oh, I think the attitude was clear.

At any rate, you have to wait til after Labor Day for anything serious from Americans. It's nothing but silliness from us for all of August.

Which calls into question the timing of SOA elections. Hmmmmmmm.

I submitted an e-mail. Didn't you get it? I still have the attachment, and can resend.

Actually, my comment on the content was one of general agreement. The attachment represented a lot of work on the matter of too many buzzwords. . .

I also posted something in the Cyberchat area about the same issue. Please read all the way to the last post on page 2.

I'm assuming the guy on the front cover is about to jump because of an overdose of corporate buzzwords after reading through the plan?

No, it's not.
Seems most agree that buzzwords are a buzzkill.

Examples? Alternatives that are equally concise?
