My college is not in the approved courses list. I intend to get the courses approved for the Economics and Finance. For the Applied Statistics part, my college only offers the regression class which doesn't cover time series models. I have already taken the class and want to somehow combine it with a time series course.
Is there anyway to get SOA approve only the regression part for Statistics for my college?

I believe you need to satisfy the Time Series portion somewhere else, and then apply for the statistics credit using that and your college course for regression analysis.
I don't think they'll let you just apply for the regression analysis portion since they see both of those combined as one course.

However, my college course is not in the approved list. I have to first get it approved before using it to apply for a credit (combined with time-series course taken elsewhere). Can I get only the regression part "approved"

You'd have to send your syllabus from your college to SOA to see if they'll approve the course for credit, but yeah, I think it's possible for SOA to approve just the regression analysis portion for a college course.

He is right. I sent in the paperwork to have the regression analysis only course approved ~10 weeks ago and I just got confirmation yesterday that it was added to the approved courses list for regression analysis only. So now I need to look at a time series course.
