Nice! I just started chapter 8! Was a little shaky for a while but it seems all the topics are coming around the farther I get in the book!

Edit: My bad, I'm starting chapter 9 as well!

I just want to be done with the bulk of the material so I can start reviewing and figuring out how most questions are asked. Are you feeling good about the problems at the end of sections? Do you have to look at the solutions a lot? I know I do...I'm sure it will change in the end!

After I read each section, I normally do some of the practice problems in Marcel B. Finan's free study manual before tackling the ones in ASM. After I work about 5 or so, I then move on to ASM and work another 5-10 problems (typically getting 90% of them correct on the first try). I only look at the solutions if I absolutely cannot figure out how to solve the problem.

Nice that's awesome I didn't even know about that free manual I will look into that as well! Most of the time I just go straight onto the practice problems right after chapter and half the time I just need a little hint to get the problem going then I got it!

Also, how was the difficulty of the Finan's problems...you make it sound like they were basic to follow so you get the hang of the concept. Easier than asm?

Some of them are SOA and past exam questions, but they are generally easier. Gets me in the groove!
