AO Biggest Loser, Spring '12 Rules and Results

I've copied much of the following from previous AOBL seasons, but made a few key changes:

* no consideration of BMI in determining success
* there will be no interim elimination of contestants for reasons other than failure to report weight (see below)
* because there are no interim eliminations, there is no need for rules regarding reinstatements or immunity challenges
* no penalty for late entry (still allowing only one extra week)

Rules:

Side bets between individuals are encouraged.

Winners will be determined entirely on the basis of percentage of weight lost.


Start Date will be Monday, March 19th, 2012. End date is Monday, May 21st, 2012.

Weight will be reported every Monday by 11:59PM EDT. Exceptions can be granted due to vacations or inability to post weight on a few Mondays. Please PM exceptions at least 1 week ahead of time.

Policy on late weigh-ins and "Get Out of Jail Free ... for a Day": The get out of jail free for a day rule allows each player to miss a weigh in by at most a day, but it is only a one time deal. As an example, if you forgot to weigh in on Monday or just forgot to get on the AO (not likely), you have until 11:59PM EDT the following day to still safely submit your weight and stay in the game. It is used passively. So if I haven't received your weight by 11:59PM on Monday, I will use it for you.

We reserve the right to adjust the rules anytime, if necessary. All attempts to ensure fairness will be taken.

Sign-ups and starting weight must be in by Monday, March 19th, 11:59 pm EDT. You may sign-up late no more than one week after the start of the competition.

All PMs regarding initial weights and future weigh-ins shall be sent to Egghead.

Deadline for what? You've already signed-up and weigh-in deadline is 5PM.

5pm and 11:59pm come after 12pm

Ah, I see it says 1sy weigh-in, I thought that only applied to sign-ups. Seems silly to have a different deadline for the first weigh-in.
