Default WhyandHow Crossfit log

Went to the intro session today. Cool thing about the crossfit in my town is they let you go to as many intro sessions as you want for free. They have them 2x/week. I'm going to do that for the next 2 weeks because next week is my exam and then my parents are visiting me the week after. Then I'll seriously be considering signing up

Todays workout was a modified "I love my medicine ball"

4 rounds of:
30 seconds sit ups throw medicine ball at the wall
30 seconds squat w/ ball
200m run w/ ball
30 seconds rest.

I used a 14 lb ball. I probably could have gone heavier, but the run was what killed me. I finished strong with everything I had.

2 great things about crossfit: like 20 hot girls at the gym when I showed up; no one was acting like a doosh.

Next workout is Tuesday.

Thanks for the advice?

I don't know of anything I can do to recover faster.

Tuesdays Workout

AMARP in 10 mins:
5 one arm dumbbell clean each arm (15 lbs)
5 burpees
200m run

I did 6 rounds

I was a bit apprehensive because my hamstrings were still a little sore, but it turned out fine. I wish I had pushed harder. I'll go balls to the wall on Saturday (and I won't need to feel guilty for working out when I should be studying!).

Today I did a mobility WOD and practiced handstands on my parallettes for 10 mins. I can hold 5-10 seconds at a time, but my wrists need to get stronger.
