Next sitting (August)

So... as one of those people who isn't sure if he's taking this sucker again, I'm wondering if you guys think next sitting will be instant pass/fail. Hasn't it been on CBT for a while? Wonder how long it usually takes.

This wait is driving me nuts. I hope they release grade a bit early.

I read here that someone e-mailed the SOA and they told him that it won't be instant pass/fail this August either.

I emailed to see if they will release the grades a week early or extend the registration deadline for the August sitting due to the close timeframe. They said no, but that they will refund your money if you had registered to retake the exam.

Thanks for the information, I wonder if there's any possiblity of arbitrage for us Canadians with the currency exchange rate fluctuations from now to the next 8 weeks

yessir if you pull that off i think you automatically pass MFE. with the profit from the arbitrage for your next exam.

Are you sure about this? I thought they don't do that anymore?

I just received an email from the SOA today after asking to make sure for myself. They will definitely refund your money.

Do you have to email them ahead of time to get them to approve your situation or do you think this will apply to all of us? i.e. they'll check their records that you registered for this April sitting already and will refund if you passed

So has it been determined that the grades will come out after the cutoff? I knew it was close, but I didn't realize it was after.
