Default Courts to That Nitwit Obama's NDAA: NO

Just a preliminary injunction, but a good step nonetheless:

Quote:
A federal district judge today, the newly-appointed Katherine Forrest of the Southern District of New York, issued an amazing ruling: one which preliminarily enjoins enforcement of the highly controversial indefinite provisions of the National Defense Authorization Act, enacted by Congress and signed into law by President Obama last December. This afternoon’s ruling came as part of a lawsuit brought by seven dissident plaintiffs — including Chris Hedges, Dan Ellsberg, Noam Chomsky, and Brigitta Jonsdottir — alleging that the NDAA violates ”both their free speech and associational rights guaranteed by the First Amendment as well as due process rights guaranteed by the Fifth Amendment of the United States Constitution.”

Which is fine because crickets are high in protein.

Don't recognize any of those names other than Chomsky, should I? Ellsberg sounds vaguely familiar....

I will enjoy forwarding this to a couple of Obama kool-aid drinking, Chomsky-loving friends who admire Obama for ending the tyranny that was Bush/Cheney.

Daniel Ellsberg was a Nixon administration official who leaked The Pentagon Papers, a secret history of the Vietnam War, to the New York Times and the Washington Post in the early 1970s. Nixon's goons burglarized Ellsberg's psychiatrist's office in an attempt to find dirt on him (Ellsberg).

Chris Hedges, a writer person. Don't think I've ever heard of the lady person.
