Round 11 Challenge 1 - Go Ask Your Moderator
I asked the Powers That Be on this board a series of simple questions. There are no right or wrong answers to the questions. Well, for them there were no right or wrong answers. For you, only one answer is correct. These questions were sent to Traci, Glenn, Moderators 1 - 6, and Claude. Claude's responses, other than the final tiebreaking question, were reserved as a tie-breaker when needed. Neither you nor I know who of that group actually replied or what their individual response is. What I do know, and what you need to guess, is what the majority of respondents gave as the answer. The same list of questions that was sent to the administrators and moderators is included below. You should send a PM of your answer choices to my inbox. Remember that you are not making your own choices, but attempting to guess how the majority of those polled responded. After I receive responses from all players or at 9:00p ET, whichever is earlier, I will post all replies in the "Survivor R11C1 - Go Ask Your Moderator" thread which I will create. I will also post the "correct" answers in that thread. Questions: 1. Chocolate or Vanilla? 2. Red or Blue? 3. Pi or e? 4. Multiplication or Addition? 5. 3x5 or 4x6? 6. Eat out or order in? 7. Shoes or Sandals? 8. 4-star hotel or cozy B&B? 9. Pie or cake? 10. Square or circle? 11. Vertical or Horizontal? 12. Mouse or Keyboard? 13. "T" or "E"? 14. Classical or Jazz? 15. Hamburgers or Hotdogs? 16. Cash or Credit? 17. Would you like to hear the specials -- Yes or No? 18. Hardcover or Paperback? 19. Cat or Dog? 20. Thunderstorms -- Cool or Scary? 21. Cheese or Pepperoni? 22. Car or Truck? 23. Cash-back or 0% financing? 24. Marinara or Alfredo 25. Monet or Van Gogh? 26 (tiebreaker) Pick a integer between 1 and 10,000, inclusive. note to players: YOU will be guessing what the arithmetic average of the responses was, rounded to the nearest integer. You may absolutely NOT contact any of the poll respondents asking them how they replied. If any of the administrators or moderators notify me that they have been contacted by one of the players asking for this information, I will disqualify that player in this Challenge. Immunity points: Primary scoring will be based on number of correct responses, with secondary scoring based on your answer to #26. For #26, whoever guesses closest to the average will win any tie. If two players are equally close, the one who guessed lower will win. For example, if the average was 5,000 and PlayerA guessed 4,999 while PlayerB guessed 5,001 then PlayerA would win the tiebreaker. If two tied players guessed the same tiebreaker, then the player who submitted their PM first will win the tiebreaker (this unlikely event is the only speed qualification in the Challenge). Immunity points awarded will be 7,6,5,4,3,2,1 to the highest to lowest scoring players. Any player who does not submit a PMd response by 9:00p ET will receive 0 immunity points for the Challenge. |

Only one player guessed Vanilla -- Butters
All players guessed Blue Only one player guessed "e" -- Ebenezer Kohl All players guessed 4x6 and multiplication Only Butters wanted to "order in" Only Hagbard and Butters thought "horizontal" was the way to go The "T"s were unanimous Only Kohl opted for hotdogs Vern is the only one paying cash Kohl is the only one who wanted hardback Aces and Vern are the cat people patterns and Kohl will have pepperoni, the rest take cheese Not a single truck person in the group? There goes my image of JT! Everybody knows cash-back is the better option. Except aces and Hagbard patterns is the only one up for Alfredo And only one player guessed an average higher than 5,000! And even then patterns was just over at 5416. |
