I just received my diploma from the SOA. I must say that I am dissapointed to see that it looks like one of those certificates you receive for taking a training class. My high-school diploma stands out more on the wall than this one! I guess I am just a little surprised as one would think after all that work it would look just a little bit nicer.

Oooh, Bruce's signature.
Heck, I have nowhere to put a framed certificate, so I just stuck it in my cube window. Even the FSAs here, if they're in cubes, don't really have anywhere to hang it, so they usually lean it up against a window or wall. Not many people are going to be admiring it anyway. I might send it to my mother to stick in the drawer with my high school diploma, bachelors degrees, and masters degree. I think pretty much only yourself and your mother is going to care about the physical piece of paper. |

You would need to ask my postman, I'm sure he will be happy to share too. SOA did really a good job putting the certificatge into a hard envilop and writing "DO NOT BEND". Sure enough my postman is much smarter. He had to squize it into the box, so he must have made a real effort to fold it
.I'm even more upset about it than the actual appearance of the certificate. Now it has the marks from bending on both sides. Good thing I learnt my lesson: when (and if) I earn my FSA, I'll ask SOA to send it to my office ![]() Last edited by alben; 05-12-2006 at 11:03 PM.. |
