Perhaps you are referring, not to "liberals", but that liberal bulwark of the press-The New York Times? At one time, the NYT was a highly regarded newspaper for its journalism (a concept that has been FUBARed over time), whose slogan was "All the News Fit to Print". As I recall, the NYT still held to that standard in 1987. No more. I hope someday the NYT recovers its excellence.

Is it the NYT you disagree with or the editorials?

If once a man indulges himself in murder, very soon he comes to think little of robbing; and from robbing he comes next to drinking and Sabbath-breaking, and from that to incivility and procrastination. Once begun upon this downward path, you never know where you are to stop. Many a man has dated his ruin from some murder or other that perhaps he thought little of at the time. |

Surprisingly, when I tried to find the editorial at nytimes.com, their search engine couldn't find it.
When I used Google, I found it easily. Since it's only available to subscribers, I've posted it to my website so you moochers can read it for free. Frankly, I disagree with the editorial, and the Times' assertion of a "virtual consensus among economists" is 100% wrong. There is considerable disagreement whether, in the real world, higher minimum wages slow job growth.
