Hi,
I don't know if I'm just not looking at the right place place, but I can't even seem to find basic solutions (i.e. just the final value) for the problems in derivatives markets. Do I have to buy the student solution manual or is there another place to get them> Thanks |

I believe they sell a solutions manual to accompany the text. But, I think they only have the odd # (or is it even) problems in there. Bill Cross has worked out many of the problems from the text and you can view a video sample here:

Thanks Mo' 5.
Also does anyone know if the problems in the second edition of Derivatives Markets (which I bought) are the same as the ones in the first edition (obviously except for the new chapters), which is a solution manual I can probably get from a friend? |

Howdy. Nemo (aka Bill Cross) here...
I don't know about the difference between the 2nd edition and the 1st edition, so I can't help you there, but I can answer the other part. The solutions manual only has the solutions to the even-numbered problems. In my problem sessions, therefore, I've decided to do a selection of the odd-numbered problems as well as problems from old SOA exams (typically the old Course 6, but I may peruse some of the old 8Vs if I can get ahold of them - I haven't looked yet). |

Nemo,
Since you are teaching a course based on the text, shouldn't you be able to obtain a copy of the instructor's solution manual from the publisher, which would have solutions for all the problems in the text? That is, assuming such a manual exists. Christian |

Yes, I probably could - I was reading about that also in the introduction the other day.
