Default Did you breastfeed your child(ren)?

Inspired by the ad campaign for breastfeeding thread.

I'm assuming most of the women here would've been working at the time they had babies. This would give a good indication of what % of working, educated women atleast try to breastfeed their infants.

I responded yes, even though I am a dude. The wifey breastfeed both children for at least 8 months.

The first was difficult because she had to go back to work. But managed to express enough for Jr.

Please, if the gents around here have/had a wife/SO at the time the child was born, that is a working woman, respond for her. The sample size will increase that way.
Thanks!

8 mos, 4 mos, and 4 mos for each of my 3 kids. Working & pumping w/ the 2nd, combo of stress from exam 5 and a terrible case of thrush ended it earlier than I planned w/ 3rd.

My coworker is about to have her 4th and has breastfed them all for 8-10 months. She works pretty much full time (I think she's on a 36 hour week or something) and pumps at work all the time.

So I know it can be done!

Wife breastfed (and pumped) for a year with the first. Is breasfeeding (and starting to pump) with the second. (Today second and I are getting to know the bottle for a bit while Mom and Big Sis go out somewhere. Second is not pleased. But we're working on it.)

Voted for the wifey. Breast feeding worked well for the first child and not so well for the second.
