Jon Stewart was quite emotional last night. I very much liked his line that the view from his apartment used to be the WTC, but that view is now gone. What he sees now is the Statue of Liberty.

...and then he closed by breaking out into a sweat, trembling, and then, finally not being able to hold it in anymore, shrieked "BUSH SUCKS!"

The Daily Show hasn't been funny since before the vote recounts. Talk about partiality while that was going on.

At the end of the Stern episode, there was a memorial to someone. I wasn't really paying attention - any idea who it was, and why they showed a clip from Dynasty?

Comedy Central’s “The Daily Show” host Jon Stewart signed off Tuesday night’s program with an emotional goodbye to Willard “Billy” Clarey III, a 23-year-old production assistant from Colorado Springs who committed suicide Saturday.

“The Daily Show” canceled Monday’s taping after learning of Clarey’s death.

A repeat episode of “The Daily Show” was aired Monday night.

Clarey “was a wonderful and dedicated employee and all of us at Comedy Central and ‘The Daily Show’ are devastated by his loss,” the network said in a statement. “Our hearts and prayers go out to his family and friends.”

“The Daily Show” also dedicated Tuesday night’s “Moment of Zen” — a random clip that closes the show — to Clarey. The clip was a catfight between Joan Collins and Linda Evans from the 1980s TV show “Dynasty.”

Clarey graduated from Colorado Springs’ St. Mary’s High School in 2001 and graduated from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts in 2005.

The Clarey family is holding a vigil and wake 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 2318 N. Cascade Ave.

He’s survived by his parents, Bill and Peggy Clarey, and brothers, Ryan, Dan and Kevin.

That was a classy move. I get a sense that they have a pretty tight knit group over there, and have fun with what they're doing.

On the brighter side, I saw a clip of Stewart responding to an O'Reilly clip that takes a swipe at the Daily Show for making fun of Christmas as a federal holiday. Really funny bit, apparently it was aired a year ago and Samantha Bee, the correspondent for the bit, has since gotten VERY pregnant. It should still be available on comedycentral.com.

Is anyone watching the Colbert Report? I’m still trying to make up my mind on that show. I love the Word segment though and the Threat Down. The number 1 threat ….. Bears!

I watched about 15 minutes of the Colbert Report and I had had enough of it.

I catch the Daily show every so often, either the re-run or the nightly version...always get a good laugh out of the stuff.

Colbert is sort of annoying. Stewart seems a bit more genuine.
