Default XS Rating -- help please

Hello -

I am working on a project that involves improving the way we do excess rating. Here's the catch, the data is XS of what other companies cover, so it is truncated below. I have no idea what the distribution of the basic limit losses are.

Does anyone have any recommendations? Papers, thoughts, anything you can offer would be helpful!

Thank you!
