Default added value of seminars

if i'm disciplined enough to memorize all starred flashcards (and review non-starred) and to do the problem set, then would a seminar just reinforce those ideas, or is there a huge added value to the seminar? i've never taken an actuarial seminar before, and i passed every exam on the first try EXCEPT for 3/M, which took me 3 tries. i REALLY want to pass DP on my first try, so i'm thinking about taking a seminar for the first time, but unfortunately i think i have to pay for it on my own, so i'm wondering how much added value it will really provide to me.
