We are seeking an individual interested in joining our Analytic Consulting Services team as an analytic consultant in our Northbrook, IL office.

This position supports sales process by analyzing prescription benefit data and providing recommendations to achieve client goals. Successful candidate in this position will develop a deep understanding of client’s business and goals in order to best fit our products and services with their strategy. They will use logic and analytic skills to perform client analyses in response to specific business questions and be able to communicate the findings, including methodology and estimated outcomes.

Essential Job Functions Include:

1. Ability to manipulate and analyze large data sets
2. Communicate complex analytic findings in an easy-to-understand way
3. Utilize forecasting techniques to estimate the impact of benefit design changes
4. Provide insight and information using industry and technical knowledge to elicit client action
5. Respond to client business needs through ad-hoc analytics
6. Creative thinking to develop industry-leading solutions to respond to changing healthcare landscape
7. Appropriate prioritization of client requests to ensure focus on high-impact activities. Modify existing tools/models to resolve complex client problems
8. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and manage tight deadlines. Effectively leverage team resources to support assigned sales book of business

Education: Degree in mathematics, statistics, actuarial science, finance or other data-related fields preferred. Master’s in healthcare related fields or MBA preferred

Experience: 3+ years experience in data manipulation and analysis
Previous experience in an internal client / customer facing role required. Previous experience working in an external client/customer facing role is preferred.

Benefit consulting firm and/or actuarial consulting firm experience preferred.

Demonstrated experience in using logic and analytic skills to develop solutions for client/customer analysis requests

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Ability to analyze large data sets and draw relevant conclusions
Proficient in MS Excel. Experience with MS Access / Powerpoint / SAS / SQL helpful. Strong presentation skills
