My advice to you guys taking the exam in feb is to slow down a bit. It's more about efficiency than volume. There was a guy on the forum who said that he spend 600 hours, yet failed the exam....

I had a hard time with the Mathematical Statistics section (point estimates and confidence intervals). Went through it twice but I'm still not 100% on it. Hopefully the future lectures will build on it to get me more familiar. Otherwise I'll have to come back to it later.

I'm using TIA.

I've got ASM and Loss Models. I figure I'll finish reading through Loss Models and then go full force into ASM mid-November so I see the material twice.

I'm studying for MLC (sitting next Tuesday)... Assuming it goes well and I started studying in mid-to-late November, would I have time to be prepared by the February sitting?

I have sat C before but did not pass and I am thinking of attempting the February 2011 exam.

I had also signed up for FAP a good while ago but want to complete it before the end of this year.

What do you guys think of my chances, if I were to start reviewing the syllabus for C in January?

Also, would there be an impact of the year end work on study time in January to February?

No time to rest. Took 3L yesterday, start studying for 4 tomorrow. My opportunity for daily study time is limited so I have to spread it out over a longer period of time. I'm glad they're offering this in Feb though. Worst case, I can retake in June and still have time for a fall exam (actually, I guess worst case would be failing it repeatedly).

How much time to you think you have to commit to studying? Also, do you have background on the material at all?

I'm in the same boat (sub 3L for MLC) and am thinking about doing it and starting around Thanksgiving. I'd much rather spend my time studying in January/February than May/June and think it's doable.
