Passed!! I suggest using SOA152 first to get general picture. Then TIA free test is really very useful. If you do not aim score 10, repeating practices on fundenmental problems can help you pass.

Passed! The problems were easier then I expected. I used Probablity for risk management and ASM. I also did 2 TIA free practice exams.

I used Actex manual to learn the material. Did the first 6 practice exams out of it

Did the SOA 152

and did the four free TIA online practice exams scoring (22-26) on each one

first time user, first post and i passed! Materials i used: TIA (dave is pretty cool
covers the syllabus pretty well and the tia exams are pretty good!). Also used Actex thought it was okay but will say it may not be enough to pass depending on your background. Last thing, it may be just be me but i feel the actual exam was a bit tougher than any of the practice exams i did!

Thanks! My school uses this Actex book for FM/2 class but uses Probability and Statistical Inference by Hogg for P/1 class.

So you just used Probability for Risk Management and TIA to prepare for P/1? Did you have any probability background before preparing for P/1?

I totally agree, my exam experience was similar, pretty tough since some of the questions were just way out there. Congrats on your first post, and your first pass!

A bit of studying will fix that, though.
