I'm interested in working and living in Japan, but I have no idea about the actuarial job market in Japan. Is it possible for a non-Japanese speaking actuary to work in Japan? Where can I find recruiters there? I really appreciate iIf anyone have some information to share with. Thanks!

A friend of mine works in Japan. He is not an actuary, but from everthing he says and based on my visits, you do have to know Japanese. In other world cities (London, New York, Paris), English is fine, but for some reason in Japan English alone doesn't cut it.

I don't think you'd be able to work in Japan without knowing the language. They love Americans there if they speak Japanese. You should probably take two years of intensive Japanese language courses before you go. Read up on the business culture there too. I don't know what the culture's like in Taiwan, but I don't think many americans can pull off the change.
