So I didn't graduate from WPI, but I did start my actuarial math/science education there...long, long ago! Has nobody else been in their ActSci program since??

Hey, someone made the first post. Good deal.
I graduated from WPI with a degree in Actuarial Math 2005. The program is booming now...maybe 40 people in it? Just a guess. |

I graduated from WPI in 2007 with a degree in actuarial math as well. It's a really great program and the small size of the school means the actuarials form a tight-knit community. I loved my time in that program and the courses I took helped prepare me well for the prelim exams.

Just wanted to say hi to my fellow alumnus! I graduated with my MS from the math department, got a job in defense, and am now trying to change careers to actuary! I passed exam P last month! I'm applying for jobs now (we'll see how it goes in this economy). Give me any and all advice on anything you feel like cause I'm a total newbie!

So I guess that means I'm still a WPI student. I will (hopefully) be graduating in December. WPI has a great Actuarial program with an amazing advisor. Wouldn't trade Professor Abraham for anything! And I know that my graduating class should have about 20 Actuaries. Not a bad number. From what I hear, it's quite a bit more than it was a few years ago.

Best of luck finishing up the rest of your requirements! Glad to hear that the actuarial program continues to grow, I think it was about 10 of us that graduated with an Actuarial Science BS in 2007, so doubling that in three years is pretty good. And yeah, Abraham is the man.

I graduated with a degree in Actuarial Mathematics from WPI back in 1999! I don't think there were many of us back then. Good to hear it has grown. Maybe now that I'm fully back in the actuarial swing, I'll be back for campus recruiting.
