is anyone doing the TIA MFE Seminar next week in chicago? if you are, just wondering what everyones status is... and if anyone has been to that seminar, advice is welcome.
i've finished all the odd ASM problems, haven't started SOA problems or any PE's. i've also watched the TIA modules for the most part, except for the easier ones. but i haven't done any of the TIA questions yet (don't know if it's worth my time anyway honestly) |

I am going through ASM Chapter 11 where we learn a slightly different formula for Historical Volatility than what we learned in Section 6.3. It is not completely clear. Which formula should we use?
I know the difference in answers with each formula will be very small. |

Just got my AB practice questions, according to rough napkin math, I need to do around 22 a day to allow for 3 weeks of ASM tests (1 a day) to finish these completely and the tests completely before test day, /tries to study on saturday.

In the exam, I will use the formula which squares the difference between the returns and the mean return, by using the stat functions on my caluclator. Unless we can think of a reason that would not be the best route to go...
