Default 2012 EA-2B Exam Questions 14 and 42

I have just learned that the Joint Board will be posting a revised answer key to the EA-2B exam shortly, indicating the errors in the original answer key that have been much discussed. The new answer key will indicate that the correct answer to question 14 is choice A, and the correct answer to question 42 is choice C. These will be the official answers to those questions (B will not be accepted for question 14, and D will not be accepted for question 42, because the answer key had typos -- these are not changes in the Joint Board answers).

Note that I would not expect the status of other questions that have been discussed -- such as question 25) to be addressed until the Joint Board meets for it's review of the exam and the pass mark setting in a few weeks.

It's actually thanks to those of you who already made comments about those questions. Rick and I have yet to send in our comments -- we always compare our results first to make sure that we get the same numerical answers -- just making sure that there is not some other issue that no one else figured out as a potential problem.

So I think that from the comments that already came in, the Joint Board realized that questions 14 and 42 had incorrect answers on the answer key -- which is interesting as that has never happened before.

+1
It is possible the Joint Board finally figured out they could actually LEARN something by reading the students comments.
