Actually at the time the requirement was passed it wouldn't have killed the USPS. Certainly hurt, but not kill.
It tipped over into impossible when the utilization rates for the USPS nose dived do to internet bill pay programs and email. Fed-Ex and UPS had already beaten the USPS like a drum on fast delivery service and when email and bill pay killed the 1st class delivery that only left junk mail. Junk mail is high volume low profit margin. Not enough to keep the USPS alive with the funding requirements.

The two job descriptions are so far apart they are practically on different planets.
Who has zero foreign policy experience? Romney? He has about as much as Obama had four years ago.

And more experience in the executive branch of government. Shall we discuss business time as well?

Obama was the least qualified POTUS ever elected sworn in. (I was going to exclude Johnson, Ford ... and then realized I didn't need to do that.)
Unfortunately it shows in his job performance.

John Tyler wasn't very qualified imo. But probably still more than Obama.

Seriously. I was dumfounded at how Sarah Palin's "lack of experience" was actually considered a factor in 2008, since hers was in an executive branch role, and she was going for the VP slot, not the Presidency.

Mccain is really old though....and she seemed a shall we say not overly familiar with foreign policy issues.

Hey, I didn't say I thought she was a good candidate. I was just appalled that the R's let the Obama camp win the "experienced" contest.

Well, if Mccain was not a strong enough case for experience, where were they going to go?

Jesus, I had no idea Actuaries were such right wing zealots.

Where is that Herbert Hoover Character? After reading a few of his threads, he seems to be the only rational guy on here.
