Hey everyone. I am taking this exam really soon and was wondering what everyone has meant by saying that the real exam and practice exam were quite different. Does this mean that the questions were of a different difficulty, different ways of asking questions, or just simply that the questions on the real exam were not taken directly from the practice exams?

I've got a decent handle of the basics and hopefully the test being multiple choice will allow me to make some educated guesses.

Thanks for the help!

The questions are worded differently and asked in a different way than those on the practice exam. I'd make sure you understand the key concepts at more than a superficial level. I had very few TVM style questions as well.

Thanks for the response. Well, I hope my exam has tons of the math problems because they are a joke compared to FM/MFE. I know the concepts decently well, but there is alot of ratios and terms that I don't have quite down yet. Hopefully those don't sink me.

Passed yesterday. I didn't like having only 9 days to really prepare for the exam. I had eleven days and needed two days for a family obligation. I probably put in about 30 hours of studying. This is the way to get the Corp Finance VEE requirement.

I don't want to cost my company an extra $100 but I don't want to arbitrarily handicap myself either... Guess we'll see how well the notes/practice exams work.

What all materials do you all typically purchase in preparation for the CPCU exam?
