Simply called and asked. I actually asked for 6 nights, as I realized that the Monday after is Labor Day, but she said, the room rate is valid for only five nights...

From my confirmation email:

Quote:
Rates for the night of 28-Aug-12, 29-Aug-12, 30-Aug-12, 31-Aug-12, 01-Sep-12

Rate Details
Soa/fac Fellowship A

159.00 in CANADA DOLLAR per night

Taxes
Hst 13.0 Percent Per Room Per Night Not In The Rate
Vaguely interesting to note-- the SOA invitation pdf specifically says 'US Dollars' while my room is booked in 'Canadian dollars'. With the .97 exchange rate, I will glad take the 3% discount, if the exchange rate stays the same...

Do you know what the normal nightly rate is at the same hotel for those dates ? Reason I am asking is that I will be funding the entire trip for December FAC on my own and need to save up for it, so wanted to get an idea on what percentage of discount can I expect on the hotel rate at that time.

I was quoted 229 for the last night, so something like a 30% discount. These rates are pre-tax, which should run around 15%.

That's rough to fund on your own, since the entire class costs $2500

Anyone has difficulties on making the payment? I am asked to "Enter all badges information. Click on Edit All Badges to enter badge details."

But when I clicked, still on the same screen and can see nothing special.

Help needed.
