< 48 hours to go, and I had today off, so I did some more digging:
PAK Average(Not Compared to Actual Answers)/Pass Mark Spring 2012 - 50%/??? Fall 2011 - 62%/64% Spring 2011 - 62%/64% Fall 2010 - 63%/64% Spring 2010 - 61%/60% Fall 2009 - 60%/60% Spring 2009 - 62%/60% When you compare Spring 2012 against Spring 2011, because there wasn't really any data for Fall 2011 to look at: # Correct/2011 PAKer Raw Passing %/2012 PAKer Raw Passing % 13/94%/72% 14/91%/66% 15/89%/61% 16/87%/48% 17/83%/39% 18/80%/33% 19/73%/27% 20/63%/19% This should be taken with a grain of salt, since I think there are more questions contested this year as opposed to last year - but at the same time this underscores that people did worse on this exam than they did a year ago too. UPDATE: There were 4 questions that were incorrect on the 2012 PAK compared to ??? questions that were incorrect on the 2011 PAK, but I'm betting it's maybe 1 or 2 at the most just by looking at the data and comparing. By the way, 64% (19/30 approximately) was the passmark for the Spring 2011 exam! Off to get dinner and see some fireworks.

In fact, to show you how messed up this exam was:
In Spring 2011 there were 4 PAK questions where the most popular answer was under 50% of all responses. In Spring 2012 there were 13 PAK questions where the most popular answer was under 50% of all responses.

I think that makes sense on two fronts: those ended up being the hardest questions (with the highest % of questions requiring knowledge of new topics, I believe) and that was the point at which people were running out of time.

The running out of time is also probably why there were alot less PAK participants than usual.
