Well I wouldn't worry about getting a 10 on FM because it's not always possible, but my advice for getting every question right would be:
1) Understand the theory, not just the formulas, so that you can figure out how to do problems you've never seen before. 2) Do as many types of problems as you can get your hands on. 3) Really understand how to do any problems you miss. Then, on test day, re-read each question carefully to make sure you know what it's asking for and if you're good on time go ahead and look over problems when you've finished to make sure you didn't do anything stupid. Doing stupid things is what kills perfect scores. |

I just passed P, and studying FM right now. There is exam in Oct and Dec. For those who passed FM before, do you think about two months (take it in Oct) enough for preparing FM? or should I not rush and have more time to study and take it in Dec?
I am using ASM right now and it goes slower than studying the P because the FM manual contains more practice in every small section. Thank you for all your suggestions! |

I got a 10 on the August 2009 sitting. All I did was go through the ASM manual twice, did the practice exams and the SOA practice problems once. I have no idea what the pass mark was though. It was probably a bit lower than it is now.
