But I still think of XKCD, because the above dubstep does feel different than say bangarang, which has much less in terms of pauses.

ack, can't find it (see my other thread on the topic of not finding things), but it mocks anyone who thinks there are types of dubstep as needing psychiatric treatment)
Just starting to like it myself.
Listening to freestylers - cracks now.

I've been into trance and house for years now, and is the majority of what I listen to. Main intro to dubstep started with Deadmau5 - Raise Your Weapon. I loved the first half, and often skipped the second (dubstep) half. It's grown on me a little since then.

Denver recently got a dance station, which plays virtually every form of dance music there is/has existed over the last 20 years. I'm finding I don't mind it quite so much anymore, and will often times leave songs like Skrillex - Bangarang on.

Not my favorite, but I'll put up with it, and it's absolutely better then country and majority of pop songs.

I listened to all of the skrillex and deamau5 albums a while ago... deadmau5 is far superior IMO, although seems less dubsteppy and more traditional house than Skrillex.

But besides these two, who else's main game is dubstep and doesn't suck?

Same page here. Hated Skrillex the first few times I heard them. Almost feel embarrassed to admit that I like them now.

Any other popular artist?

Real music doesn't have ads for "The Voice" before it on Youtube.....

ETA: Also, all dubstep "artists" owe Richard D. James royalties.

Great song, I've been listening to this mix for months. That being said... definitely not dubstep.

Knife Party is another pretty well known dubstep DJ. Though I find nothing enjoyable about his songs.

I've heard a few minutes of skrillex and I didn't like it at all.
It reminded me of why i stopped listening to drum and bass 10 years ago or so.
Also, 10 years ago dubstep was a very, very specific kind of electronic dance music.
It seems like pretty much anything electronic dance is called dubstep nowadays. I might sound very misinformed though because i really, really haven't been caring at all.

PS : Aphex twin represent !
