\documentclass{article} \usepackage{amsmath} \usepackage{lifecon} \begin{document} blah blah blah... You will almost certainly want to take advantage of some of the nicer typesetting environments afforded by the amsmath package, hence my inclusion of it. The AMS has lots of nice tabular environments for cases and multi-column equations. Although much of LaTeX can be learned from various web resources, I cannot recommend strongly enough the book by Kopka & Daly if you are going to do much TeXing down the road. It is the ultimate resource and has the benefit of being exceedingly easy to read with lots of examples and an OUTSTANDING index. Good luck! |

I only plan on using TeX once, ever. So I'm not looking to invest my time in learning it (it's nice, but there are other things I should be learning). Would anyone be able to help me out with the placement of the lifecon.sty file? Thanks! Oh, I did use your notes for exam P, so thanks again! P.S. I suppose the next question is, how do I make the document look nice, with paragraph alignment and such? Is there a typical package to use for that? Edit: just found it, it was "wordlike". I'm sure there are others. Any popular ones?

Three packages that find their way into 95% of my documents are:
graphicx: For anything involving inserting figures/pictures booktabs: Even cleaner tables than LaTeX's default rotating: For when you need something sideways, like the distribution tables in my Exam P notes. I also use the "color" and "rgb" packages on occasion. Cheers! |

Here is my formula sheet for MLC in 3 parts. It's pretty complete, but please let me know if you find any errors. Good luck!

If someone has the time they should do a write up that includes the new material. I find the manual doesn't give the most general equations for things either so if it could include those that would be swell. I neither possess the LateX know how nor the free time to do it and I'm sure many would appreciate it if it were done.

I don't have proper notes that would be good for anyone except me. I didn't write down stuff I already remember... I also don't have the time, but I could convert any handwritten notes to Latex no problem after the exam. For the people sitting next time.
