Default Is anyone else in NEAS Regression right now?

If anyone is doing the NEAS Regression right now and want someone to bounce questions off of, PM me. Seems like getting the most simple questions answered through NEAS is impossible

If you wanted your questions answered, you should have chosen Actex!

Sorry, I couldn't resist.

I'm not taking it now but I plan on signing up for the next one. I've just started going through the book and I've looked around the NEAS website some. I don't know if I can answer any of your questions but you can ask.

Honestly I would highly recommend not doing NEAS. This is the only thing I have left to get before my ASA, so due to wanting to get through it as fast as possible, I feel stuck with having to do the second half through NEAS as well. But honestly, I've had a horrible experience with it. I'm studying for the final right now, and 90% of the course was just using the data analysis tool pack in Excel, which we don't have for the test, so again I feel like a ship without a rutter. If your not going to get your ASA until atleast next year anyways, I'd go another direction.

But if you don't take my advice, I hope you take time series next session, I'll need a partner in misery.

I think I've finally come to my senses and will be going with Actex. I bought the text books NEAS requires for both regression and time series and have spent time going through some of the regression one, so I hate to throw all that away. Hopefully I can sell the books I bought and get some of the cost back.

I thought NEAS would be quicker than Actex, it's cheaper, and it's supposedly easier, but every step has been difficult so far and I don't think it's worth it to continue. Good luck, Murphy, if you stick with NEAS for time series. You won't find me there.
