Default Exam Rituals

What are yours?

I try to make sure I have a pre "brownian motion" to avoid any suprises.
Stay hyrdated, and eat fruit.

I for one stay away from caffine, although I know some people do use it!

the day before the exam i dont look at any sort of exam material, just focus on relaxing and getting a good rest.

on exam day i wake up early have a good breakfast and coffee then head down to the test center. I always wear a nice outfit to feel at my best. before entering the building i close my eyes and listen to a 'pump up song'.

its fairly simple but youre right there is a bit of a ritual to it lol

This was my first thought when I read the title lol

Also- make sure to have a terrible night sleep before the exam, including not being able to fall asleep and waking up at many points during the night.

Definitely don't dress nice. I dress like a hobo to feel most comfortable.

Buy beer before the exam so you have something to look forward to

I usually take my exams in the early afternoon (noon to oneish). I try to do some form of brief exercise in the morning (bike or jog) to make sure I don't have a problem sitting for 3 hours for an exam.

No caffine, big brunch, then just take my time getting focused and reviewing my formula sheets to make sure I'm Sharpe and prepared.

I usually pick a song that doesn't have words to listen to right before going into the exam facility and don't listen to the radio on the way over. I do this because sometimes I'll have song lyrics stuck in my head while trying to remember some random formula I will forget in a matter of days while taking the exam which is not fun at all.

For FM I listened to some Beetoven sonata. For my MFE sitting on Saturday it was Bright Morningstar by Tiesto.

I always watch a movie the night before an exam. I don't really do anything the day of the exam. I force myself to eat even though I don't usually want to.

Am I the only one who crammed to the point of exhaustion the day before the exam? I usually didn't get more than 3 hours of sleep the night before.

Probably not the only one, however when you study for weeks / months for an exam you generally either know it or you don't by the last night before the exam date. That is why people just focus on not exhausting themselves before sitting. That sounds like what I would do for college finals for 1 night of studying!

I almost always review SOA sample questions prior to sit each of exams: P, FM, and MFE. Right after each exam, I feel so excited and hungry, so I ate at McDonald and some fast food restaurants.
