Rowdy Gaines has been calling swimming for the last 20 years and is a gold medalist himself. This doesn't preclude him from being a moran.

Is he a moran? I kind of like him...

Some of those coaches are way too touchy-feely with the gymnastics girls. I keep wishing Pedobear would jump out of the stands and slap the coaches when they do that.

well, they didn't get into coaching young girls' gymnastics for the popularity...

Not so fast.

The hydra-like, multiple dependent clause sentence has a high degree of difficulty. Maybe you didn't hold your tuck, maybe your toes were cattywompus, maybe a fake eyelash flew off, but you stuck the landing. Bronze.

That is, assuming that you and one of the world's top two sentence structurers are from a different country.

When my wife saw her after coming in second, not even hugging the gal who won, she (my wife) was totally pissed off. Called McKayla a "C"rag. And, yes, she said the whole "C" word. She never uses that word. Or, hardly ever. Maybe 5 times I've heard her say it since I've known her for almost 7 years.

Yet she chose to use it on a random gymnast girl who she didn't even know existed a week ago.

(Although, I do agree with my wife's assessment of Ms. Maroney's conduct.)
